My wife found this car for sale on the side of the road while working one day.  I had been looking for a while for a project car.  The person that owned the car had done things to it that a true Corvette owner would never think of, such as etching "Tweety Bird" into the side window and putting a decal on the side that said "Jason."  

The car was overall in good shape other than needing bumpers (they had some cracks) and paint.  At the time the car only had 72,000 original miles on it. I started to do some of the work myself, but after a few years decided that I was going to have someone I knew do the rest because of the lack of time.  I ended up having them go through the car completely, including detailing the engine, interior, and paint.  The car was brought back to original with the exception of the mirrored T-tops.

I use the car for show and cruise nights on occasion.  In the 5 years that I have shown the car, I have won 21 tophies including a "Best of Show" for the 1968 - 1982 class at the Corvette Club of Rhode Island show in 2006.

When I bought the car initially, I planned to sell it once it was done so I could get another vette in the 1960's.  I love the car so much that I can't get my self to sell it.  We also have a 1989 convertible with 43,000 miles on it.
